yesterday was one of those great, amazing days where i had fun being dan's girlfriend. now dont get me wrong, but its those days that i get to spend almost the entire day with him that i love best.
he picked me up around 10:30 and we headed out to the mall with the intention of finding myself a dress for sunday. of course, the one i liked required $130, with runner up being $80. no thank-you. im sure i can find something i like just as much, elsewhere.
as we were heading to winners we passed tip top, a store full of dress shirts, ties, and suits :) yay! we spontanteously decided to go in there and see what we could find for dan's grad.
ps. dan looks super great in a suit :) although his idea of wearing a top hat for grad? im not so fond of that lol but i suppose its his day so he can wear whatever he wants. including the hat.
we finally found a $160 suit and put it on hold for when dan's mom gets back from vacation. i guess we will see what happens with it then, or if our suit search was fruitless.
after suit shopping it was off to the cattle auction for us. dan was selling seven of his cow-calf pairs as well as two bred cows. and lets just say he did great! especially considering what he was originally hoping for them.. well he got more! :)
around 3 we headed out to his place and into the tractor for some seeding. now when i told my mom and mel that the tractor had gps and basically drives itself, they got some pretty interesting ideas of what we were doing in that tractor. however, i assure you they arent true. dan was turned around, looking out the back of the tractor to make sure the seeder was still seeding and didnt stop, while i faced out the front, singing my heart out to the country music turned out nice and loud! :) on a side note, did you know re-filling a seeder with seed takes like, 40 minutes?! i learned that :)
next on our agenda was to go push over a tree at his brothers house. so we headed over there- dan in the payloader (spelling?!) and me following behind in his truck :) (yipee! havent gotten to drive his truck in forever!)
once the tree had taken a tumble we headed to my house to watch a documentary called "ghosts of rwanda". he had to watch it for school so thats the only reason we were watching it. it was so boring. but i learned a few things and a few questions were raised but no, i wont be further researching this movie.
around 8:30ish we headed over to the church to help mom, mich, and mel with setting up tables and decorating for this big supper thing thats happening there. it was fun, although after a while folding napkins all fancy gets lame. very lame. we were there till around 11 or later and by then, it was stupid. i never wanna set another table in my life! but i guess i dont have a choice.
all in all, i learned that i love dan more and more each day and that im truely blessed to have someone like him to spend my life with.
