rain. work. money. do they have courses for saving?
our first (as far as i can remember!) rain of the year :) and it was wonderful. i must say that the smell of rain is so gorgeous and maybe even one of my favorite smells. its fresh and rejuvinating, as well as peaceful. so yes, the rain was welcomed by me. besides, it hardly lasted more than five minutes and already the sun is peeking out behind those nasty clouds again.
on another note, roll-up season is coming to an end! (thankfully!) and with that leaving us is our new ice coffees coming in. (they will be better than mcdonalds! everything tim hortons has is better!)
work is picking up. or well, my shift amounts are picking up! the past few weeks ive been working three shifts and next week i get four! maybe it has something to do with it being easter week but hey, ill take it! the more money the better!
money. umm yea. still having problems saving that! i need to get my rear in motion and my money to just kindly start piling itself up for me. me and this girl from work were talking about tips today and decided it would be lovely if someone decided to give us a $500 tip. the $4 we made today was a start. not quite what we had in mind though :P
... you know. i think i have this obsession. its called spending. and it needs to be stopped! like pronto! do they have money saving courses? cuz i could completely use one :)
well, today i am thankful for rain. beautiful weather (yet again). and a boyfriend who loves me. (and who better not be reading this :P haha just kidding! xox)
ps. im not so thankful the canes lost their game last night :( seasons over and my "beloved" king and metsola wont be returning for another season. sigh! not to mention the other players. the canes will be a new team next season.
......... that could be a good thing :)

rambling..
o! i gotta tell you bout this guy that was sitting beside us for a while. he came to the game with headphones and an mp3 and i was confused at first, wondering why he bothered coming if he was going to bring music with him and stuff. then i realized, he was listening to the game on his radio while watching the game. weird! some people!!!
this is on teddy bear night. every year they have a game where everyone brings stuffed animals. then when the canes score their first goal everyone throws them onto the ice. its for the kids in the hospitals and stuff. its pretty amazing to witness and to partake in :)

gallavanting in the spring time

meet molly. not only is this my only, bestest dog ever but she was my walking companion today on my great walk in the gorgeous weather! i just had to get off of my rear end and go do something, so i collected my memory card, my mom's camera, and my sisters flip flops, and off i went on my treck of the day. (i am planning on joining my wonderful boyfriend for yet another walk later on this evening, before the hockey game. maybe ill have pictures of that for you 2mrw)
so anyways, i put on my sister's great, gold flip flops and headed off for the coulee behind our future home to see what i could see! and boy did i see :) not only did i see, i heard. and it made me happy to witness all over again that spring is ariving. i heard the bee's buzz and i heard the water rushing over the rocks in the river below the cliffs. in fact, i even heard a lawn mower. already. who on earth is mowing their lawn at such a time?! certainly not me :) my trip did not take long for molly and i ran into a cute little brown animal that makes huge-mous holes and i really wasnt in the mood to have molly and him (and company, for i actually saw two!) battle for turf. thankfully, that didnt happen. and then, yes, thats me on my walk, relishing the sights and the wind in my hair. (is that even how u spell relishing? lol whatever!) and now, to say the least, i am happily anticipating my walk in the very near future with D and brother J. and then of course, the canes game. in which they will probably lose seeing how they havent beaten this team (the calgary hitmen) yet this season. but i must remain loyal and positive.
HURRAY FOR SPRING TIME!
GO CANES GO!
BOOO HITMEN!
once again i am thankful for the beautiful weather we are having today, enabling me to enjoy creation.
